Senior Data Scientist – Phone Number Data Analytics

Location: Romania, Ploiesti

The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Data Scientist to transform our vast phone numbering data into actionable intelligence. You’ll develop sophisticated models to identify patterns in number behavior, assess trust metrics based on historical attributes, and create risk profiles based on lookup frequency together with multiple attributes of phone numbers.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and implement data models to identify suspicious patterns in phone number activity
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions.
• Develop trust scoring systems for numbers based on attribute history, lookup frequency, and verification results
• Evaluate and integrate alternative datasets to augment our existing phone number data
• Create predictive analytics capabilities to identify potential fraud risks
• Collaborate with engineering teams to operate analytics models
• Drive regular reporting on data insights that create business value
• Identifying new potential data products based on our unique dataset

What you need to know/have

• Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in data science with focus on large-scale data analytics
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools
• Experience with big data technologies
• Proven track record developing machine learning models at scale
• Expertise in anomaly detection and pattern recognition algorithms
• Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate and integrate external datasets to enhance existing data assets

• Experience building risk scoring or trust models
• Knowledge of phone number attributes and verification systems
• Experience with fraud detection or identity verification systems
• Background in time-series analysis and behavioral modeling
• Familiarity with metadata analysis for digital identity applications
• Experience developing production-grade data products
