Junior accountant

Location: Romania, Ploiesti

The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing our financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of our accounting records, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. This position is crucial for our cash flow management and the overall financial health of our company.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage and maintain the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring all customer invoice details are accurately recorded.
• Monitor client accounts, maintain precise records, and prepare customer statements.
• Assist with the monthly billing cycle and distribute invoices to our customers.
• Process bank statements and journals to keep our accounting system up-to-date.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Actively follow up with customers on outstanding payments and report on overdue invoices.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports for the management team.
• Support the finance team with various accounting and administrative tasks as needed, including preparing bank payments.

What you need to know/have

• Proven experience with financial systems and accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent English communication skills (fluent in writing, conversational in speaking).
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• The ability to multitask effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• A university degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, is an advantage.
• Previous experience in an accounts receivable or credit control role is highly beneficial.
